This remarkable straight razor set is a rare find. Manufactured in Sheffield, England, this particular Straight Razor is available in its original strop case. The original black horn scale and bulls eye pins place it at around the 1860's to 1880's. This particular razor could have easily been used by Union or Confederate Soldiers during the Civil War, though the words "Manufactured for the United States" inscribed on the side make it more likely it was sold for soldiers in the Union army. The blade is of the highest quality and has been cleaned, polished and sharpened by our technicians. The blade measures in 11/16" and was originally crafted by the experts in Sheffield, England world renowned for their quality metal and razors produced. The scale is of high quality black horn which is still in excellent condition and the original bulls eye pins have been tightened to insure it is shave ready upon arrival. This is a remarkable find and would make a wonderful razor for any wet shaving enthusiast. The scales were also polished to give a high luster. The blade then went through our True Honing process, utilizing stones such as a Naniwa Chosera 10k, Belgian Yellow Coticule and Shapton 30k to give this straight razor the perfect edge. It arrives to you stropped and shave ready.
