1905 Gillette Double Ring Old Type Safety Razor Set w/ Case NY and Sealed Blades

The original Gillette Razor - the Double Ring Old Type. Featuring open comb guard and balanced ball-end handle. Teeth straight and ready to shave. A true classic! Comes in original leather case and features original cardboard / nickel blade banks. Inside the rare cardboard blade banks is an even more rare Gillette antique, blades with a red seal! 

The plating is in good overall condition - with 113 years of gorgeous patina. This razor does not have a crack in the handle, SUPER RARE for these sets. Note that the case states Gillette Sales Company - not Razor Company. In the early days of Gillette, the Sales Co was a separate entity ran by a relative of founder King C Gillette. These sets would have been sold directly into men's stores. One of the classic DE razors and becoming more scarce by the day!
