Original Gillette blade bank also included in this gorgeous set, a convenient and beautiful storage for your DE blades. This razor model features the Old Type / open comb guard that made Gillette famous. Slightly aggressive open comb designs are a favorite among shavers with coarse hair. These teeth are all straight and ready to shave!

The razor and blade bank have been fully Revamped and arrive Shave Ready. Extensive resurfacing has been performed by our team of razor experts, and a gorgeous mirror finish ultra-bright Rhodium set is the result. Stunning!

The case is in perfect working order with incredibly preserved purple velvet backing, great shape! An engraving GRMK in beautiful cursive script. The case has been resurfaced using our Satin technique and is shiney but also modern matte. This satin rhodoium finish is stain and scratch resistant. This was a beloved set, claim it before it's gone!

History: The Gillette Old Type was the original razor head produced by Gillette Safety Razor Co. It featues open comb design with two stabilizer pins that keep the blade straight. These heads are known for their smooth yet aggressive shaves. These were the same model as featured in the WWI Khaki sets. The Pocket Edition series was designed to be a "barbershop in your pocket" and was one of the primary reasons why Gillette transformed the way that men around the world shaved. It empowered men to shave themselves and leave the barbershops for the comfort and skill of their own home and hand.
