A beautiful razor from the 1920's featuring open comb guard and balanced ball-end handle. Teeth straight and ready to shave. Comes in hard to find octagonal presentation case. Handle has historic crack - these were cracked shortly after manufacturing and finding one without a crack is rare to say the least. Entire set has been restored in 24K gold. Some age marks remain however.

History: The Gillette Old Type was the original razor head produced by Gillette Safety Razor Co. It featues open comb design with two stabilizer pins that keep the blade straight. These heads are known for their smooth yet aggressive shaves. These were the same model as featured in the WWI Khaki sets.
