The Bostonian metal case is also unlike any others because when you open the lid, the razor raises up about a half inch with an internal mechanism. Purple velvet interior is 100% intact and looks quite pristine. This set comes complete with original Gillette gold plated blade bank.

History: The NEW series of razors debeauted in the early 1930's, and was an attempt by Gillette to simplify their handle design. This razor also culminated with the realase of the NEW style blade to keep an edge on their competition. It was the last series of razors issued before the release of the TTO in 1934.
