1947-1951 Super Speed Safety Razor Rhodium Revamp

It is finely crafted and has a TTO or twist to open mechanism which works smoothly. The doors open just as they should. The nickel finish has been chemically stripped away to brass, and that brass buffed to a perfect mirror. The brass is then replated with rhodium, giving it a shine to the doors that can't be beat. The Gillette Super Speed is a popular choice among wet-shavers (a number one recommended razor for beginners), and provides a close and comfortable shave every time. History: The Gillette Super Speed came on the scene in the late 1940's and ran through continuous production into the 1980's. The post 1947 type featues a notched center bar to quickly load blades from the old Gillette dispensers and is known as one of the best all around DE razors to be made.
