1950 V3 Gillette Super Speed Double Edge Safety Razor Set | Original Condition

Available is a rare 1950 Gillette Super Speed with V3 date code set. It's hard to know why this razor received a date code, but very cool to see this piece of razor history.

In 1951 Gillette brought the date codes back, although they never stopped date coding blades. Super Speed razors were the longest manufactured line until the modern cartridges. A moderate shave perfect for those looking for a medium shave. Easy to customize the feel by adding an aggressive Feather or a milder Astra Green. This razor will provide an amazing shaving experience along with the value of adding a rarer razor to your shave den.

Vintage safety razors pack some of the most bang for the buck, but knowing if they are fully functional, hygienic and shave-ready is a different story. This razor has gone through our complete tune up process. We first clean the razor in our industrial ultrasonic machine to remove any soap scum, mineral deposits and grime. Disassembly is carried out for the best results whenever possible. Next we carefully polish the inside and out of the razor, bringing the vintage metal up to a high luster. Mechanical adjustments are made to ensure the best functionality of the razor.
