History: The Gillette Super Speed came on the scene in the late 1940's and ran through continuous production into the 1980's. The "Flare Tip" variety came out in the 1950's and ran through the late 60's and was designated as the "Normal" variety for average skin and beard. They are known as one of the best all around DE razors to be made.
