5/8" Vintage Restored Lafayette Cutlery Co. Straight Razor

Available is a 5/8" Lafayette Cutlery Co. straight razor that was manufactured in Germany. This blade is ground with a spike point, making it much more accurate than a round point tip. This straight razor makes for a great razor because of its size and comfortable shave provided. This razor would suit any veteran looking for some variety and every beginner looking to invest in a razor that will provide them with smooth shaves for decades  to come! Germany was the cutlery empire in the 1800's and this blade is a true example of just how great of quality their blades were. Makes for a superb starter razor because of its ease of use and affordable price. Truly a masterpiece!

Restoration: This razor went through our complete Revamp service. It was first polished to a near mirror finish, removing all active rust and as much metal as was safe for this grind. The scales were also polished to give a high luster. The blade then went through our True Honing process, utilizing stones such as a Naniwa Chosera 10k, Belgian Yellow Coticule and Shapton 30k to give this straight razor the perfect edge. It arrives to you stropped and shave ready.
