Available is a very rare and collectible double Straight razor set from early 19th century cutler Packwood. As stated on the included original box dating from the 1820's, "CUTLER TO THE KING OF ENGLAND. All the Potentates of the World, And by Special appointment to the People who CENTER ALL POWER."
Put up in original compressed paper box, this is a true relic of the earliest straight razor era. It is in overall wonderful shape for its age, depicting the Victorian-era English styling. The razors themselves include 2 consecutive numbers in the set (1 & 2) and are both wedges. They come in original horn scales and feature the flower-style washers around the pins. To say the least, this is a rare set.
The original carbon steel has been lightly and carefully polished and restored. There is no active rust. We have honed the razors and they are ready for shaving. This set is beyond rare and certainly a piece that can certainly be used and appreciated for it's historical significance. It's not everyday that you get to restore sometime from the late 1700's / Early 1800's. Admire and collect these amazing razors today!

Restoration: This razor went through our complete Revamp service. It was first polished, removing all active rust and as much metal as was safe for this grind. Next, new Micarta scales were fashioned. The blade then went through our True Honing process, utilizing stones such as a Naniwa Chosera 10k, Belgian Yellow Coticule and Shapton 30k to give this straight razor the perfect edge. It arrives to you stropped and shave ready.
