A beautiful razor from the 1930's featuring open comb guard and balanced ball-end handle. Cap still tightens just fine. This vintage razor has been restored, ultra-sonically cleaned, and sanitized - thus making it shave ready for your pleasure. Great find!
Original 14K Gold plating is still in incredible condition, and looks shiny and clean. The electro-etched Gillette logo is 100% intact on the top cap. Razor has a nice weight to it in your hand, adding control to your shave. Handle knurling feels perfect, and gives a nice texture and grip to the razor.

History: The Gillette Old Type was the original razor head produced by Gillette Safety Razor Co. It featues open comb design with two stabilizer pins that keep the blade straight. These heads are known for their smooth yet aggressive shaves. These were the same model as featured in the WWI Khaki sets.
