Available is an exquisite collector's item and a true piece of shaving history! This set comes from the days when double edge safety razors were still very new and the market was fierce. George W. Gillette, King Gillette's relative, founded the George W. Gillette Razor Co. in Cleveland Ohio. They released a DE safety razor and were met with a severe lawsuit. A very limited release of the Geo. W. Gillette Razor Company produced this very rare and controversial piece. The company was forced to change their name and filed an Amendment to their Articles of Incorporation, a copy of which is included in the set.
Several very special pieces are included with this rare razor to increase its providance, original letter head from the Eureka Safety Razor Company that displays both Oxford, Oh and Geo. W. Gillette Razor Co.Copy of the official Amendment of Articles of INcorporation, had to legally change the name from GEO. Gillette Company to Eureka. And a the late Roy Johnson's letters from Joe, Betty, and Phil on original letterhead.
