The Scent:

Created in 2014, our “Fougère” shaving soap is built around the pattern that characterizes this olfactory family, namely lavandin , thyme and bergamot as top notes , geranium and patchouli as heart notes , then oak moss with amber facets as base notes . The accords of Fougère MdC thus offer a fresh flight with a very seductive woody base : absolute beauty for a distinguished man…

 

The Making:

Saponified in a cauldron from exclusively vegetable oils , our shaving soap is the fruit of ancestral artisanal know-how , 100% made in France. Our entire range is vegan , natural and handmade in our workshop in Anjou (49). Each shaving soap has benefited from several months of drying to consolidate the paste and refine their fragrance with essential oils. Thanks to this resting time, you will be able to enjoy their remarkable foam quality and their scent rich in character for a long time!


Product tips and tricks: 

For optimal use, make sure you use a badger brush made from real hair or plant fibers. 

First, let your badger soak for a few minutes in a bowl of hot water, then wring it out without pressing too hard. 

When using your soap for the first time, gently sweep the top of the paste in circular motions. In less than 20 seconds, you will obtain a creamy and generous lather . 

The next step is to develop and thicken the lather by working it vigorously on the palms of your hands, directly on your face or in a shaving bowl. When the lather takes on the appearance of whipped egg whites , you can apply it with a shaving brush, massaging your face to loosen the hairs of your beard and soften them as much as possible. 

Thanks to this, your skin is perfectly prepared and protected , the blades glide smoothly and precisely . 

Once you're finished shaving, rinse your face with cool water. Always drain your soap after use.

We strongly advise against using blades with lubricating strips ! They may clump together with our shaving foam, making it impossible to remove hairs .
